On October 16, the 14th Academic Annual Conference of the Chinese Bioengineering Society, the 3rd Bioeconomy Supporting Shanxi’s High-Quality All-round Development Conference, and the 2021 National Biotechnology Conference opened in Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province. Xie Hong, Vice Chairman of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the Shanxi Bioengineering Society, and Gao Fu, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chairman of the Chinese Bioengineering Society, attended the conference and delivered speeches. Hu Junyuan, Chairman of Beike Biotech and Director of Shenzhen Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Engineering Laboratory, was invited to attend the conference and make a special report.
This meeting is to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speeches at the Academician Conference of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Science and Technology and the 10th National Congress of the China Association for Science and Technology, and to implement the important instructions put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping to “adhere to a problem orientation, proceed from the urgent needs and long-term needs of the country, work hard on key core technologies, accelerate breakthroughs in a number of key core technologies, proactively deploy a number of strategic and reserve technology research and development projects, and aim at the commanding heights of future science and technology and industrial development.” The conference was hosted by the China Bioengineering Society, Shanxi Science and Technology Association, and Shanxi Transformation Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone Management Committee, and was hosted by the Shanxi Bioengineering Society and Shanxi Advanced Innovation Institute. Academicians, well-known domestic experts, and well-known scholars in the biological field were invited to give conference reports. More than 400 representatives from all over the country attended the conference, covering bioengineering-related fields such as agriculture, medicine, biopharmaceuticals, and environmental protection.
