Signing Ceremony of Tsinghua University Beike Biology Joint Laboratory

2007Year10MonthOn the afternoon of the 13th, Tsinghua University Shenzhen Graduate School and Shenzhen Beike Biotechnology Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony at the Wuzhou Hotel in Shenzhen to establish a joint laboratory for stem cell research.

According to the agreement, the two parties will cooperate to establish the “Tsinghua University Shenzhen Graduate School-Shenzhen Beike Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Stem Cell Research Joint Laboratory” at Tsinghua University Shenzhen Graduate School. The purpose of the establishment of the laboratory is to carry out basic and applied research on stem cells, conduct research and development of stem cells and related genetic engineering products and monoclonal antibodies, cultivate teaching and technical talents for stem cell research, realize the transformation of scientific research results in stem cell-related technologies, and build the joint laboratory into an internationally leading stem cell engineering technology center integrating the development and application of life science technology products. The establishment of the laboratory will provide Shenzhen with a high starting point and high-level biotechnology source innovation platform and biotechnology industrialization transformation platform, achieve leap-forward development in the field of stem cell regenerative medicine, and improve Shenzhen’s scientific and technological innovation capabilities and urban comprehensive competitiveness.

According to introduction,The Graduate School of Tsinghua University and Beike Biotech have joined forces to establish a stem cell research laboratory. This is another successful example of cooperation between universities and enterprises in accordance with the industry-university-research model to promote scientific research and innovation. It is also an important achievement of school-enterprise cooperation in this Hi-Tech Fair.
